Born in Italy in 1969, graduate in engeineering, he has always been interested in the magic of photography. The charm of Africa and the interest in primitive sculpture led him to engage in cooperation projects in Burkina Faso, where he moved and lived with his family for four years. Today he lives between Italy and Africa, mainly in the province of Biella, in an old house in the middle of meadows and woods with dogs, cats, horses, sheeps and goats. |

According to official data, 200.000 refugees are supposed to live here. Men, women, children who escaped persecution, war, starvation and coming from Southern Sudan, Ethiopia, Somalia, Eritrea… But where are
they? Few people around and spooky names that remind me even more spooky memories: camp 1-2… 5, block 1-2-3… 11. But where am I? Looking at the pictures I took during the day, reality slowly comes to me. Day by
day all these people, locked here since 10, 15, 20 years, become more and more aware that they have no chance to continue their journey. Here they cannot work, they cannot farm. All they have is just a little
oil, some flour, beans and water. Not enough to survive. Every year 1% of them will be able to go on dreaming, thanks to the hard work of Inge de Lange, Sebastian Herwig, Catherine, Duke and other UNHCR’s
employees.

…Timbuktu, Gao, down to the small “campement” of Enerief, along the ancient caravan route of salt, in northern Mali.
A week with a small Tuareg community to celebrate the opening of a new water well.
All around, just the silence and charme of the desert.
Burkina Faso (2006
Commissioned by: SONG TAABA - onlus / Book: Attese e incontri - i presepi dei bambini del Burkina Faso, 2015.
No matter who you are, nor what or who you believe in. Catholics, Muslims, Animists, everyone can participate in the miracle of Holy Christmas. In Burkina Faso, every year, children are those who create the
magic. They only need a little water, some clay and, with a lot of imagination, they built these christmas cribs nearby your hut.

Once I’ve been asked to take some pictures during a wedding party. When the bride realized I exclusively focused on shoes, she didn’t say a word. Just kissed me. Ok; if you need a traditional wedding book, you’d
better call someone else.
